the AppleTV does what it was meant to do which is take the media that is on your computers and display it on your tv. it does it in the typical simple and elegant apple style and for that i love it. it took me five minutes to get it hooked up and running. 5 minutes later i was watching the BBC3 'Casanova' miniseries.
it definitely has some first generation flaws (tv shows are not categorized by season and if you have a lot of tv shows in your itunes lke i do this is a big problem), but they are nothing that can't be solved with a software update.
